Goldenplate Restaurant Café & Bar was opened in 1994 by the Goldenplate Family, who are originally from the city of Bolu Mengen (where most Chef’s come from).
After many years, father Zekeriye Altuntabak and his 3 sons Ufuk, Uður and Ümit, who all worked in highly established companies in various areas of the tourism sector,
decided to pull their experiences together and open their own business.
Today they still work in harmony and are always looking for new ways to improve the business to give the best service to their customers. Since opening, Goldenplate Restaurant has always maintained cleanliness and hygiene as one of their top priorities, and because of this, Bodrum City Hall awarded them the Certificate of general health, hygiene and cleanliness standard (Goldenplate Restaurant was one of the 6 out of a 1000).
Goldenplate Restaurant Café & Bar is situated on the sea front with breathtaking views of Bodrum Castle and the Island of Cos; it is open all year round, with nonstop service to customers from morning till late at night.
In the summer season you can find many different tastes on the menu; offering a wide range of traditional Turkish food as well as a selection of English, Chinese, Mexican, Indian, pasta, pizzas and salads.
Friday nights during the summer season are party nights, were the entertainment includes; break dancing, belly dancer, games etc. On party nights there is a Special party menu which includes free local drinks with your meal for 1 hour
In summer you can relax by the sea on free sun beds. Before dinner every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday you can join some of the staff on a free moonlight/sunset boat trip and watch the sunset over Bodrum Bay.
Goldenplate is a family orientated restaurant, and offers a children’s menu and a kid’s play area where they can find play stations, toys and books to keep them amused
In the winter season (1st November to 31st of March) in the day time you can enjoy brunch, or just relax with a drink on the seafront taking in the breathtaking view of Bodrum Castle. At night times join them for dinner, or maybe just sit by the open fire with friends and enjoy a glass of wine, and listen to the Turkish melody by Gitarist Osman.
On the menu you can find Aegean style Turkish starters, hot starters, salads, daily fresh fish; Sea Bass, Sea Bream, Red Mullet, Octopus, Calamari, Shrimps, Prawns etc., a choice of meat and chicken dishes including Mexican and Indian and home made Turkish desserts.
On the Chef’s specials you must try the traditional Anatolian dish called Amphora Kebab, fish in salt and the steamed fish.
